Both light bulbs blew out in the refridgerator compartment at the same time. Replaced both bulbs still both do not light up, also replaced the switch (part #1118894)and still no lights. However the freezer light works, everything else seems to be working (i.e., has cold air; refridge, freezer, and condenser fan working, ice maker working). I checked all connections and they seem fine. Not sure what else to check? Please help!

I had the same problem. An audible pop and the lights stopped. Fans still works, light bulb filaments appear intact. My problem was that a short piece of the copper on the printed circuit board, inside the switch housing, had vaporized as if it were a fuse. I soldered a bridge of copper wire across the small 5mm gap and all was working again. Access the switch compartment by removing the filters, undo a couple of retaining screws to remove switch unit. Make sure the electricity to the unit is Off/unplugged before proceeding!!! Switch unit cover has 4 screws holding it on. Once inside the unit, trace the wire (mine was grey colour) from the light switch to the small printed circuit board. The copper printed circuit link to the connector had gone...no sign of burning, just gooone! Solder a bridge of copper wire across the gap and reassemble switch unit to test. ....send beer donations to me in qld...cheers!!!
3 blinks indicates lamp door is not on or has not been reinstalled properly. This also could mean the lamp door switch has failed itself. Try removing the lamp door and putting back on, if that doesnt correct the problem then I recommend having the switch replaced.
The bulb, if checked good, then other possibility for bulb not getting ON is faulty light switch or the short in wirings from bulb connector to light switch. In most of the cases its faulty light switch. It has to be checked and replaced.----------This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.
You have a bad electronic control board . This part is mounted on the back of the refrig , at the lower left corner , inside a plastic holder . The part number is W10135090 . It costs about $ 100.00 . This board , also controls the 2 control knob lighting .
The cause could be anything from defective bulbs(least likely, to a bad bulb socket or vibration during operation. A voltage measurment at the bulb will tell you if it is getting too much. Eric
Since you replaced both bulbs with new ones and they still won't illuminate, there is a high probability that the open door switch is not working or if you have a newer style refridgerator then in some models if the electronic brain for that model sensed the door has been open for too long, it will shut off the lamps.. Try this.. unplug the firge for a minute or two then plug it back in. Check to see if that 'power up clear' cycle got the lights to illuminate. Also, if your model has a freezer that has lights in it check to see if they go on. Hope that helps you.. Good luck...
disconnect head lights, and replace fuse. Then turn the light back on to see if it blow a fuse again. if not, plug on light in at a time. You might have a bad headlight???? then unplug that one if nothing happens. Then plug the other one in. It could also be a bad taillight bulb. I have had bad tail light bulbs. Do all of them, one at a time.
Your bulb may be blowing because of airflow issues or power cycling issues, first does your outlet get switched off at any point in time? if so you may be killing the bulb before it cools, if you turn the set on/off alot and or restart it after off quickly this could lead to permature bulb failure, if the original lamp was not replaced with a proper lamp to match the ballast it could blow the bulb. If your tv is too near a heat vent or the airflow thru the set is not adequate it could blow the bulb.
