SOURCE: I have a Samsung

The belt slipped off the pulley. There is a switch to keep the drum form starting if there is no tension on the belt. There is a service bulletin on most samsung dryers to install a bigger motor pulley to keep the belt from slipping off. Contact your local samsung service provider, or samsung directly and they should take care of it for you.

The timer on my Maytag DG212 dryer sticks and does not advance so it just keeps running.

You will need to change out your timer, as it is non-repairable.
Hint:...Be sure to get the same brand/mfg of timer, or be somewhat of an electrician because if you do not get the same timer it will not be wired the same.
Also only remove and replace one wire at a time, it will keep you out of trouble and ease the installation of the timer.

I keep pressing NEXT/ON/OFF and RESET to reset the

Review instructions:
Instructions say hold down Next ON/OFF > and push Reset > then release Reset > but keep holding down NEXT ON/OFF until screen flashes 12:00 >> after that, you release NEXT ON/OFF

If that doesn't work:
Timer functions are powered by battery, not by electric circuit, so your wiring is not cause of this problem.
Try removing battery for longer than 5 minutes.
This will reset time/date but not your programs >> the programs stay in the timer forever until reset.
Then try the reset procedure again as shown above.

If timer still doesn't reset:
EJ500 has a 1 year limited warranty.
You may need a new one.

Asko Dryer stops running when you release the start button.

Hi, this is a simple issue here. these switches will fail from time to time. the start switch is unable to hold the circuit, in return, opening it upon release of the button.

Simply replacing the switch will fix this issue. switch is 20 dollars tops.

Replaced timer module. Dryer did not run.

Check the voltage across the timer motor, make sure that you have 120 volts. If you have 120 across the timer motor, then it is bad. Also check your wiring to make sure you have wires in right place

Timer does not advance, dryer keeps running.

in auto dry the timer motor receives voltage to advance by way of the cycling thermostat.[each time the thermostat opens to stop the heat the switch in the thermo then changes that voltage up to the timer and it will advance timer motor until it closes again for heat and this continues till clothes are dry]so as long as timer is receiving that voltage and not advancing then i agree its the timer.other wise it could be a failing/intermident cycling thermostat.a thought.in timed dry the timer motor receives constant voltage.so if never stalls in timed dry it may be a clue that the timer is ok. i hope this helps you understand whats going on. God bless ,tom
