How do I change the windshield washer pump on 2002 kia optima

Windshield washer pumps are attached to the windshield washer fluid container. Remove that container and look for the washer pump. That is the only item with two wires connected to it. First remove hose connected to the washer pump and turn the washer switch on. IF water flows from the washer, your water lines are clogged, if no water flows, your washer pump maybe dead or there is no power going to the washer pump.

Try testing IF current is passing/present at the two wires by connecting as continuity tester or simply a small lamp. Switch the washer on and see if the bulb gets lit, if it does, there is power and your problem is the washer pump itself. Replace the pump.

Nd error code, what does this mean

ND stands for No Drain.
It means that either your drain is plugged, the piping inside your washer to the drain pump is plugged, your pump is damaged, your control panel is damaged or a combination of the above.
If you can hear your drain pump operating, you should check for blocked piping. If you have water in the washer, unhook your washer hose from the back of the washer and lower down to the floor to see if water drains from your washer. If little water runs out there is a good chance that the hoses inside your washer are plugged with something. If water runs out freely, then there is a problem with your pump that will not allow it to pump water up to your drain hookup.

Water will not drain. sewer line is not pluged. Customer service says I could have a plugged filter at the pump ( we have dogs). How do I get to the pump to unclog it. Model EIFLS55IIW woody

Hi agnes! Washing machines, including those built by Frigidaire, have internal pumps. These pumps help drain out the water from the washer tub between the wash, rinse, and spin cycles. If the pump is damaged or the pump pulley system is frozen/stiff, the water can become trapped in the washer tub. In both cases, the pump assembly needs to be replaced. You can check by looking for a few signs that a pump is dying or already dead.
1 Start the washer and wait for the washer tub to fill with water. If you do not hear water or hear a motor whirring, the washer motor may be dead.
2 Open the washer lid in mid-cycle. Note whether or not the inner tub is still spinning around. The inner tub is the inside surface of the washing compartment with many holes for water draining. If the tub is not spinning but the motor is running, it is possible the pump is dead. Check the pump pulley by removing the pump from the washer and trying to rotate it by hand. If the pulley doesn't turn freely and is frozen or stiff, replace it. Also, if the agitator is moving but the tub isn't, this is a sign the pump is dying. For front-loading washers, do not attempt to open the door mid-cycle. Look through the glass door. If there is enough water to come up against the door, the pump is malfunctioning.
3 Wait for the washer to finish its cycle. Open the unit. If water is still in the tub, the pump is likely dying or dead.

Ecosmart washer won't drain it filled with water, washed and nowwon't drain the water.

you need to vacume out all the water so you make it light, then dolly out the washer to some place you can drain it. now take off the front of the washer and locate your water pump, its attached to your drain line. take off drain line to water pump and see if anything is clogged in the pump. This is most likely what is wrong if it wont drain. hope this helps.

Kept flashing f21. I hit stop. Now the door won't unlock.

You did not mention whether the washer actually pumps the water out of the washer when you are getting the F21 code. If the washer pumps the water out okay, then the pump and drain system are okay.

Excessive suds can prevent the pump from evacuating the water properly and will sometimes result in an F21. When the suds dissipate, the washer will then be able to pump out the water. Look for this type of condition if necessary.

If the drain pump runs but the washer will not drain the water, see if the washer will gravity drain. Pull the drain hose out of the stand pipe or sink and place it in a shallow pan at floor level. If the washer will gravity drain okay but will not drain when the drain pump is running then you will likely need to replace the drain pump.

If the washer will not gravity drain, then you still have a clog somewhere in the drain system. If you have not pulled the hose between the tub and the pump, then you could have a clog in this area.

If the washer does drain normally, then you could have a failed pressure switch, air pressure hose problem, wiring failure or a failed control board.

Engine runs , not getting any water flow when trigger pressed.

Disconnect hoses.
Look for kink in water hose.
Check incoming water connection for filter washer
Replace filter washer
If you don't have a filter washer, put one in.
Hook up water, and turn on
Water should come out other side of pump.
Turn on machine.
Do you get pressured water out of pump.
If no pressure, then pump is suspect
Hook up washer hose without gun
Does pressure come out of washer hose
Finally, the gun trigger may be bad.

We had to buy guns now and then.
Search for pressure washer guns
Following link shows guns we used:

My pressure washer is a G 2500 oh n i have no pressure coming out, it turns on but no pressure.

Good news, your engine runs
But your pump may be bad

Here's how to test your pump
Check oil as outlined lower down
Disconnect the washer hose and gun
Connect water hose and turn on water and water should pass straight through the pump
Look for clogs in the hose-end where water hose connects to machine

Turn on machine and see if water shoots out pump
If water shoots out of pump, but no water shoots out of gun, then you may have a 'mud-dobber' wasp clog in your washer line or gun

Look for clogs in the end of each water connection.
Now connect washer hose without the gun, tun on the machine, and see if water shoots out of washer hose
Finally, the gun trigger mechanism may be bad
I don't know which gun you have ... but we replaced guns on our machine now-and-then ... google-search power washer guns for a replacement

Check your pump oil
Pump oil is SAE20 or SAE30 non-detergent motor oil
Pump should be no more than 1/2 full of oil
Use plastic hose to drain pump oil
Do not turn machine on its side or turn machine over or engine oil will run into carburetor

No water coming out of the pump

Hi
Is the pump working?
Some pressure washers need to suck the water out of a container, not pressure fed from a hose.
Check the filter for blockage.

LG WASHER WATER WON'T DRAIN SO IT WON'T

Hi, you got a water pump problem, some time small object (handkerchief, coins etc. ) can get into pump impeller, or possible your pump motor burnt out, remove back panel of machine, locate water pump, (device where all hoses connected to) remove hoses from water pump and clean hoses and water pump, you can check water pump winding, remove 2 wires, from pump terminals, check with ohm meter, place tester leads one on each terminal of water pump, if you get a beep sound, water pump is o/k, if you didn't get a beep, replace water pump, you are smart, you can do this, but first try to clean water pump, that could just be your problem remember to unplug your washer before you start any repairs. good luck.
