Gree air conditioning unit turns itself off and has an error code of HI dont know what the error codes are

I had this problem it was freezing up outside it was only a short pipe run so it was over gassed i took some out and it was fine

Hi the H1 code is not an error code it's just signifying you that unit is in defrost. I work for Gree

    Hi, I have this error too but now in Malta is in winter time so I it was running on heating. Why it needs to defrost?

    In winter ice will collect above the out unit, so the H1 sign will appear trying to defrost it.
    P.S during this phase u will not receive any type of heat.

If you don't have the manual, pull the cover from the indoor unit and see if a chart is pasted to it, an error chart telling you what the codes are, If by chance it is not there, pull the control panel from the outdoor unit and look there. Most all gas units have them, so yours should have one as well. Keep looking. Sincerely,

New install Gree 3 head 24k btu ductless mini split. Ran for 3 weeks, then got 3 red flashes on outside unit board. Compressor does not kick on anymore. Fan units inside just blow room temp air.
It's low on refrigerant. Chances are it's on one of the flare fittings where the copper connects to the unit. You should have a one year labor warranty from the installer, should not cost you anything...3 WEEKS???

Hi, I have gree air-conditioning and its had H6 malfunction code. What should I do?
Clean the filter. Then press on button for 5 seconds to clear code. Good Luck

Code error E7
I'm not sure if NewAir is made by Gree -- they supply many. On Gree units, E7 simply means one unit is requesting heating while another is requesting cooling and you can't have both at the same time. So that's the first thing to check. Very simple, very common, doesn't indicate that anything is wrong with the system.
