bad water solenoid, underneath that is the unit that the water goes to and there are wires coming from it it is sticking in the on position

No cannot over ride set at large doe the machine fill to a certain level then stop if so operating correctly if it never stops filling with water then there is a leak in the fill system either a hole in pressure switch hose it popped off tub or water leaking out thru drain system pump or siphoning thru hose again if unit starts to agitate there is enough water in unit per design

Does the pump engage and if so there might be something stuck in the hose before the pump

go her part number 10 in diagram or there could be something in the hose,the hose could have fallen off or could have a hole in it,i can't find a video with a stack machine but this explains your problem

first access the tech sheet and run any diagnostics it shows for the machine and if this passes,then check/change the fill switch on the control panel along with fill tube from the wash tub base if kinked or plugged

No parts are replaceable within the pump. Buy a new pump.

check for corrosion or crack on the outer tub. also inspect the hose behind.
