This one is complicated, and could involve drain pump operation
or pressure switch hose condition. Behind the bottom panel,
there is a detailed troubleshooting guide, and goes into detail
about possible solutions to this problem. The bottom panel
has three small bolts (facing outward), remove them and the
panel comes off, and the guide is in plastic, glued to the back
of the panel. Hope this helps.

Whirlpool Home AppliancesQuestion: Display shows F20 or FH - Front-load washer. Answer. Image. or. Image. or. Image. This error code indicates a water supply problem. Are both the hot ...
"F20" is a No Water Detect error. It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all. If the pressure switch has not tripped after 6 minutes, the error code is displayed. This can be a potential problem with the following: If you have NO water in the wash tub, check the following:
- Inlet water valve may be clogged. Clean inlet screens if necessary.
- Make sure water taps are on.
- Check inlet hoses for kinks or clogs.
Whirlpool error code F20 appears when no water is detected entering the machine or if the pressure switch trip is not detected. The pressure switch is the part of the machine that monitors high water pressure. The washing machine automatically cancels the wash cycle during an F20 error. If it is a manual timer, I would look there; if it's a digital timer, I would start at the solenoid. It may not be filling correctly and waiting for the fill to complete. Solenoids don't last long and are usually the first to go.
Other than that, all you can do is put in a load and watch where it has a problem.
as far as i can remember f20 means an outflow problem. On whitegoods.co.uk all machine faults are explained. Error codes can be quite vague and f20 could mean your pump has stopped functioning, you outflow pipe is kinked or you have an internal blockage.
“Spin” and “Wash” (HT “Rinse” and “Cycle
Complete”) illuminated or “F20” on display
(Water Inlet Problem—no water or insufficient
water supply)
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle
Unplug washer or disconnect power.
Check the following:
Are water faucets completely turned on?
Are screens at inlet hose connection to washer
clogged? Are water inlet hoses kinked?
Are water inlet hoses frozen?
