Switch the Dolby PL off and the dvd will sound like it was meant to. PL is for films that do not have Dolby it tries to replicate the sound. For non Dolby pictures press PL and it will try and replicate !

Technics sl-eh790 connect to tv

break off your audio from the back of you cable/dish box. There will be a left and a right audio out. Take that to your surround sound system on the left and right in. Change the input to where you have it plugged in on the receiver and you should be good to go.

We want to connect a SL-B5 to a sourround system and the sound its not coming out what should we do?

is your surround system has a phono input? because most of the turntable can only work with the unit that has a phono input, phono input has a a built-in pre-amp. so if you're only hooking your turntable to an ordinary input then this might be the case, you won't hear any sound or sometimes weak sound.

Back surround speakers dont work.

If the display reads 2 chan then that means stereo, and the sound mode is not in any type of surround processing. For your surround speakers to operate you must select a surround sound mode.

Sound changed

I would first go into your audio menu and make sure the correct settings haven't been changed, also the variable or fixed output is on fixed.
Does your set have the external surround sound speakers for the rear or are you using an external surround sound audio system?
