I accidentally uninstalled my printer cnaon ip1200..After that i used system restore to restore the programme but the printer is not functioning.how can i solve this?

You can download the drivers / software for the Canon Pixma iP1200 HERE.
Re-install them to be able to use the printer again without problems.

How do I re-install a driver

to reinstall the driver you can try:
Right Click My Computer>Manage>(computer management will open)>Device Manager>(look for the driver that you will uninstall and Right Click)>Uninstall
make sure that you have the driver that you're going to reinstall
or simply download the driver to the manufacturer website and install it to your computer.

Hi I am running Windows Vista SP2 on an HP Compaq laptop and trying to install drivers and then software for Canon Printer IP4600. Have tried from CD Rom, Windows update with printer attached and Canon's...

Try updating drivers on device manager.
Plug in your printer - right click computer (on start menu) - click properties - on the next screen click device manager - on the next screen there should be a usb device with a yellow question mark - right click on the question mark - select update driver software - ensure the cdrom supplied by canon is in the cdrom drive.
The computer should scan the cdrom for the applicable drivers and automatically install them.

I do not have my cdrom to install on my laptop is there another was to hook it up to my laptop without it?

I'm guessing the "G Drive' is your CDROM, or 'was' when you installed the printer?
Looks like the OS needs something from the Printer install CDROM, is looking at G" drive for it, but cannot see anything there.

Try putting the Printer install CD in ;)

Missing installation CDRom

Go to this site:

Lexmark Support

Type in your model number in the "Search by Model" block. Click the model when it comes up.

On the next page click on "Download Driver". At the bottom of the next page there are 2 tabs...Windows XP and Windows Vista. Click on the tab that corresponds to your operating system, then click on "Download Now".

When the window appears it is best to click "Save" and save it to a location on your computer where you can locate it after the download. You can save it to your desktop, or a Temp folder. It's up to you.

After the download, disconnect the USB cable from the printer. Make sure the printer power is turned ON. Find the file you downloaded and run (doubleclick) it. Connect the USB cable when prompted by the software.
