Dont Even Think a GURU can help!!!

Hi there!

I was charging my sansa, took it out after a while (forgot it was charging and left it in overnight!) i didnt think would cause a problem, but when went to plug it out, noticed screen said 'SANDISK' rather than 'CONNECTED.' so plugged it out, as thought maybe thats what says when fully charged, but has remained on that screen. Thought was frozen, so turned off and turned on again, but every time turn on, remains on 'Sandisk' screen, the one that comes up when it is about to load into device.

Dont know what is wrong or how to fix it! turns off and on fine, but doesn't load, and even when plug it into usb, doesn't say connected as usual and computer doesn't alert me that has recognized device, just stays on home page screen. Have even taken off back, removed and re put back in battery, thought that would work, turned it on , and same thing, just stays on home page.

What do I do!!?

If anyone can help me, please email solution to:
[email protected] (ignore stupid email lol)

had sansa since September and had so many issues with it, fed up now as its been like this for 2 days. If NO ONE can help, I'm converting to Ipod/Creative/Sony mp3 player!

Thanx so much for trying but didnt work. It did start to turn the screen white, so thought was loading in, but just loaded back to home 'SanDisk' screen. :(

Thanx for trying, but didnt work as the computer doesnt even recognize the device when I connect it. Usually when I plug it in, the computer prompts me that its recognized new device etc and the mp3 says connected on the screen. Now, it turns on and just stays on the initial 'sandisk' screen you get when turn mp3 on. Its as if whole device has been almost jammed where it cannot progress or load further than that screen. Think this is a probem which cant be fixed!

:( oh well...think i'm gonna have to order my ipod.

Powercycle the sansa by holding menu/power button down for 45 seconds, then let go, then wait 15 sec, then power on correctly by holding power down to the count of 1-2-3

Please copy and paste the following link into your web browser address bar, and then click Go or hit your Enter key. When prompted, choose the option to Save the file to your Desktop.

    http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downl...

Once you have downloaded the file, please follow these instructions.

    1) Double click on My Computer so that you can see it on your screen.

    2) Turn the player off.

    3) On the top of the player is a Hold switch, move it to the right (toward the headphone jack) so you see Orange.

    4) On the left hand side of the player is a Record button, press and hold it while connecting the player to the computer. Continue holding the Record button until you see a new icon under My Computer called 16MB FORMAT. Once you see that icon you may release the Record button.

    5) Double click the file you downloaded earlier and run it. Follow all of the on-screen instructions, and when you get to the prompt where it asks you whether you would like to Format it, choose Yes. Once it is done, click Finish.

    6) Disconnect the player and look at the screen. Several things will be displayed, and when you see Key Lock, System Shutdown, move the Hold switch on the top back to the left.

    7) Turn the player on and watch the screen. If you see a Refresh Database Fail error, you will need to follow steps 1-7 again until you do not get the error. If it does not work the first time, it could take up to 3 times for it to work.

I left my hp4320s probook charging overnight now it will not even go on

I think leaving your computer charging overnight is not really bad. I think there is a fault, in the power hardware of the pc.
You should see a technician..

Again, be sure that the charger is still working properly or try getting a new charger and putting on the computer, without a charger.

When i connect my Sansa player to my computer it freezes up and does not find the hardware. Also, i have another Sansa and this one does not run on a changeable battery. You are suppose to connect it to...

Similar thing happened to me. I turned on Windows Task Manager to see what was using all the processing power. It was "services.exe" looking for a Sansa driver. Since this was an older Dell with USB1, it took about 5 minutes of chugging before it had the driver loaded. It seemed to be locked up during this time, but I could see the CPU was running as hard as it could.

Sansa clip won't charge fully

If you have a phone charger with the same connector, plug in you Clip and leave it overnight. This will fully charge the battery. There is not enough power from the USB port.

Can turn on

The Sansa can sometimes break overnight if you sleep on it. This happened to me. I don't think this is really a solution, but if you bought it at BEST BUY, they have a 2-year guarantee for a new one.

Sorry,
