    Dear Sir/Madame

    I had a PC MS7142 model K8MM mother board with AMD semptron 2000+ and VIA VTxx something chipset, I reformatted the SATA disk drive 80G Dektars k780 after i formatted the Sata drive..it can't no longer be detected during OS intallations..booting to CD ROM using windows XP..displays no hard drive install in your system. What i want to know are? Do i have to utilize the download start up driver coming from the MSI site? or i will have to use the start up disk that drives the dekstar HDS7280pla380 SATA hard drive controller during F6 situation?



    Please its getting very frustrating...

i have MSI mother board when i load operating system it will ask for floppy drive supplyed by the manufacturer but floppy having up to the windows xp and i want to load windows vista and every time i dont want to use the ploppy for loading the operating system have any sugestion to without hard disk driver operating system is loaded kindly sugest me

Its nice to have a freind on the net cause the problem i had, had been solve already..its true that you have to donwload the diskitte driver from the web site..actually is functioning smoothly now, but as soon as the system got virus i have to re format again the hardrive..its no more worries coz i know now how to solve the problem i had before..

anyway thank you very much for your help its was a good sulotion to the problem

How can i connect properly the power supply to the msi k8m neo-v... can u give me a picture of it? when the power supply wire's are connected to the mother board
It's honestly pretty hard to mess up. They're keyed. Just make sure it clicks. You'll likely have an extra power cable that doesn't plug into anything. It's normal.

Can my mobo msi k8m neo-v supports sata dvd rw? if yes then how to install dvd rw and sata driver?
If it as a Sata connector on this motherboard (looks as though ther should be one), it will support a SATA DDVRW. You should not need Sata drivers, but to be on the safe side, you can download them from here:
