Hi, I have a Sandisk Sansa e130 512 mb mp3 player. I had a 1 gb sandisk memory card in it, but just got an 8 gb card to replace it. However, the player is not recognizing it and the computer won't recognize it while it is in the player. The computer will recognize it when I just have it connected to the computer, but not while it's in the player. How can I make the player recognize the card?

Hello,

As far as I can see from the manual the e100 series player only supports up to 2 GB memory SD cards, see page 8 (=7) of the manual:
http://mp3support.sandisk.com/downloads/um/sansa-e100-userguide.pdf

Formatting the SD card of 2 GB should be in FAT format, see:

Why is there no manual with my sansa fuze

Hello,

For the Sansa Fuze there's a manual available in pdf format on the Sandisk support site:
http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/UserManual/FUZE/fuze_userguide_en.pdf
Save this file to a location on your computer for later use.

When you explore "My Computer" the micro SD card with x GB memory, should be available as an extra external drive.
This drive will show up as an extra drive letter with a total capacity of x GB .

How to add 8gb memory card in sandisk sansa e270

You have a v1 unit and the maximum is 2GB MicroSD unless you install a different firmware called Rockbox. Then you can load the MicroSDHC cards in your computer and play them in the Sansa.

Sansa mp3 player could not detect micro sd add on card

I believe you can fix it by going on the player, then to settings, then to USB mode, and switching it from MTP to MSC. If you're in MSC already and it fails to recognize, then I don't know. :(

Trouble with expanded memory

The Sansa Express was only designed to hold up to a 2 GB Micro SD card because that is as much expandable memory it was meant to read. Anything bigger as in your case will cause the player to go slower than normal as it tries to read the card and after a while, it will most likely freeze. If you try it with a 2 GB Micro SD card, it should work.

Adding a 8GB MICRO SD card to the Sansa e260

I read somewhere that a 4 GB Micro SD card is the largest you can put in the SanDisk Sansa E260 expansion slot. It's maximum capacity is 8 GB, with internal + external memory put together. This is from what I've read. Hope this helps.
