Hi, I've been trying to download the appropriate driver for the hp 4600dn to no avail. Even the hp site seems unavailable due to a message that says it may be temporarily down or moved permanently. How and where can I go to resolve the issue of my printer and computer not communicating. Print jobs are sent but not recognized by the printer and therefore do not print as there is no job to print according to the printer when I press the cancel job button. I've downloaded the PCL 6 driver but that didn't fix the problem. Is there an available Installation CD for this printer? Your help would be greatly appreciated! Steve

Hi, The alternate driver for 3420 is 3600 which is already bundled on windows system, so you just need to add it. Just follow the steps on this link

Yes it is a print driver problem, Unplug usb, delete all previous attemps at install, delete print software and drivers, Download and install correct driver from HP, plug in usb only when directed to do so.

Hi 92366, If your printer all of a sudden started giving you ?out of memory? errors while printing things you could print before, then you might have a problem. First thing to do is print out a copy of your printers configuration and verify how much memory the printer thinks it has. If it?s different from what you physically installed you may have issues with you memory. If you are trying to print large graphics they you simply may just need to increase you printers memory. If you?ve got plenty of memory, you haven?t changed or done anything to cause this error and you?ve been able to print this material before without errors here are some things to try: The 5P doesn?t have a display screen I?m assuming you?re getting this error in Windows. What is the status of the LEDs on the printer when you get this error? Here is the link to the HP site, simply select your operating system, select and download the appropriate driver. I personally am more partial to the pcl 5e driver and avoid everything else, in particular the PostScript drivers.
