Went on vacation for one week phone co did some work on lines . we came back the line was noisy but went away. then we noticed that our caller I D wasn't working . repair man came and checked line to house and it was fine. we were suggested to try new batteries so we have new now went through setup everything checked out.
It would be worth contacting your service provider to determine if your subscriber settings for the caller ID service are active.

Guess this toggles it from 1 or 0 in the settings

You might unplug the base station for a few seconds and then plug it back in. It might restore the function.
