I have ordered the glass from Pioneer but would like to find/get detailed instructions on projection mirror replacement.

I had taken the back off to get it through a stairway and the mirror fell out and broke.

The service manual will show you.......

2)Remove lower front speaker grill

3)Remove screen frame only

4)Choose left or right side to remove rail to access screens

5)CAREFULLY slide screens out to expose interior

6)Replace mirror and wipe off RGB lens caps

7)Reassemble .......................go slow,.............T.

Picture it too dark cannot increase brightness

It could be your lamp. I'd bet that it's your problem. They only last for so many thousand hours. On many DLPs it's very easy to replace the lamp. There are many youtube videos on replacing the lamps if you need help.

The picture suddenly went very dim. adjusted the black level up and it lightened it up but it is not crisp and you know something is wrong.

There is a registration setting that fixes this. Look around in the menus and you will find it. It may need it reset fairly often.

The menu item allows you to focus the settings for a great picture.

Tried to clean mirror and now it is kind of smudged, will this affect picture?

not really, but I'd make sure that the mirror is spotless. Take the time to do it right.

Pioneer Elite Pro 620 HD TV on several occasions the screen has gone black but sound continues and the power green libht remains on. After shutting down for 10-15 minutes picture comes back.

Pioneer Elite Pro rear projection 620HD - Picture is still there but brightness and "white" have faded over years allowing for mediocre viewing when room is dark only. During the daylight picture is visible if viewed straight on and within 15 feet from set. Any suggestions?
