Question about Garmin iQue M3 Pocket PC GPS Receiver
i have the above model and when the battery runs out, it goes dead of course. the problem tho' is that when i put it on charge, the green light on top blinks and after a while when i try to turn it on, nothing happens. well, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. i also know that the battery is good. is there something i'm not doing right?
I did not use my Garmin for a couple months. When I turned it on it said battery dangerously low and it turned off. I hooked it up to the charger over night and the battery did not take a charge.
I had the identical problem; I called Garmin and a new battery = $50, installed only @ the factory. I tried buying one off eBay, but those batteries spec out ok but don't have the pigtail leads required for my M3 (probably would work just fine for M5). I soldered on the pigtail from the old battery from my M3, then put it all back together. Works! However, the new battery ultimately drains down over several hours so when I'm not using it I have to trickle-charge the thing constantly. Bottom line: I suggest sending your M3 back to the factory for a new battery rather than trying to replace it on your own.

actually i figured something else out.(tried your solution and didn't work for some reason). i just reset the device and it come right on, careful tho, don't erase your data, unless you want to. so the reset worked every time.

SOURCE: iQue3600 maps unavailable
You can get City Navigator 2008 CD from your local Garmin dealer. Cost around $100.
It updates via MapSource program and USB connection to IQue 3600.
Do not get "NT" maps as 3600 does not understand "NT" compression

SOURCE: No serial number for Ique
Garmin can activate the unit from either the serial number or the unit ID. Doesn't sound like a big problem, just call them to do it that way. I did that on mine that I got off of eBay a year and a half ago without a sticker.
