Question about Omron Hj 720ITC Advanced Pocket Pedometer

My HJ720IT pedometer screen is blank. I thought the battery had died but got a new battery and it still won't work.

Mine has same problem. Died a week ago. Put in new battery and it worked for a week. Now it is dead again.

I had the same problem and it turn out the batteries I bought from Walmart were old. I changed batteries 3 times and the 3rd time my pedometer worked for about a year.

Casio g'zone phone with broken screen main screen.
This is most likely a broken data ribbon. It is a few very thin wires that connects the mother board of the phone to the screen and can easily break with flip phones. It can be replaced and new data ribbon is cheap.

Battery died on my Jawbone UP, I thought they fixed this issue. I've had it for about two months and it has worked well up until now. I know this was a problem with the first one does anybody have a fix...
I have had this same issue mine lasted longer than you though do you know if this is common?

Its not likely that the battery is replaceable so replacement of the unit may be your only option. Having said that, you cant break it more than broken so take it apart and have a look, there may be a button cell connected on the inside which you can replace. Hope this helps.

My Viper remote won't turn on or charge.
The battery is probably dead. There is a guy on ebay that is replacing them. He fixed mine and it works great. The batteries dont last forever and you cannot just buy them they are a special type, also viper suggests you buy a new remote for $299 because they do not replace the batteries... how convenient. Hopefully that helps.

Do you mean the screen is blank or you cannot remember how to program it? Was it working perfect until you replaced the Battery?
Make sure the battery is inserted with the positivet side up?

Replacing the battery: 1. Unscrew the battery compartment cover on the backside of the unit using a small Phillips screwdriver and remove the cover. 2. Remove the exhausted battery from the unit, and insert a new battery (be sure to place the positive (+) side of the battery is visible, facing toward the battery compartment cover). 3. Replace the battery compartment cover on the battery compartment and fasten the screw (CAUTION: do not over tighten).

There is nothing on the screen of the pedometer, what ever I press. Do they run on a battery and if so can it be replaced? There's no apparent place to fit a new battery!
Pedometers run on a battery, the type depends upon the exact make and model which you have failed to mention.

Many cheap giveaway pedometers are not designed to have the battery replaced but it's usually possible to carefully prise the case apart if it's not screwed together. Some are glued together in which case you'll need a razor saw: if you have to buy a razor saw then it's cheaper to just replace the pedometer. You'll often find that with cheap disposable pedometers that the batteries actually cost more than a complete new unit with batteries included.

More expensive pedometers will always have a clearly defined battery access point, even if it's just a matter of undoing a few screws to separate the casing..

How do you change the battery on the Sportline, fitness pedometer 360?
The battery hatch is at the bottom of the pedometer. Just slide the hatch open with your fingers and then pry battery out. Put in the new battery in the same orientation (positive up on most). I find shaking the pedometer works to get the battery to fall out. If my fingers don't move the hatch, I use a small flat blade screwdrivers.
