PC doesnt recognise Ipod

Originally no problems - could attach ipod to pc with usb cable and download/sync etc. Now when I plug it in to pc, it doesnt even register - (i can plug in the digital camera and thats recognised) - I even tried plugging it in to another pc just to see if the "external drive icon" popped up, but it didnt...any suggestions, this is really annoying. Thank you

Ipod is disabled

Attach a USB connector to the iPod and plug it into a USB connection on a computer for power, or into a stand alone USB charger plugged into a power strip for electrical power.

Pick up the iPod. Move the "Hold" switch at the top of the iPod to the "Locked" position so that an orange color appears by the switch. Return the switch to the "Unlocked" position.

Repeat this process.

Press and hold the "Home" button and the button at the top right corner together if using a fifth generation iPod, iPod Nano, iPod Mini or iPod with a click wheel.

Press and hold the "Menu" button and the "Play/Pause" button together if using an iPod Touch. Press and hold the "Menu" button and the "OK" button together if using an older iPod.

Continue holding the buttons together until the screen flashes and then displays the iPod name and the Apple logo.

Release the buttons.

Wait as the iPod resets itself and turns itself back on.

or

Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod.

Plug the other end of the iPod USB cable into a free USB port on your Mac or PC.

Open the iTunes application by using the dock icon on a Mac or the start menu on a PC.

Click on the name of your iPod under the "Devices" list in the main iTunes window.

Click on the "Sync" button to create a connection between the computer and the iPod.

Click on the eject symbol after the syncing process is complete, and then unplug your iPod from the computer.

The lock code has been reset; when you go to disable the iPod again, you will be prompted to choose a new four-digit code.

hope this helps

DESBLOQUEAR PANTALLA

How to Unlock an iPod Nano Code
With the latest iPod Nano model, you can set a four-digit code and lock all intruders from accessing your iPod. In order to use the device's functions again, you need to enter the correct code. However, if you happen to lose or forget the code, you will need to find another way to unlock your iPod Nano.
Things You'll Need:
iPod Nano Mac or PC computer iPod USB cable
1 Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod Nano. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a free USB port on your Mac or PC computer. Open the iTunes program by using the Dock on a Mac or the Start menu on a PC.
2 Select your iPod Nano from the "Devices" list in the main iTunes window. Click on the "Sync" button to make a connection between your computer and your iPod Nano.
3 Click on the "Eject" symbol once the syncing process is complete. Remove your iPod Nano from the USB cable. The iPod's lock code will now be reset and you will be able to access all features again.

How do i transfer my pics frm my laptop on my ipod touch pls advise

Transferring photos from PC to iPod touch is not that difficult. iCloud and iTunes can both be helpful.
Using "Photo Stream" to sync photos automatically with iCloud is pretty convenient. Go to "Settings > iCloud > Photos (Photo Stream on iOS 6)" and then turn on My Photo Stream. Then get your iCloud started on your PC. In the iCloud Control Panel, Check the "Photos" and then enable the "Photo Stream" option. After that, import the photos into the "Photo Stream" folder on your PC, and then you will be able to view the photos on your iPod touch. Using iCloud to transfer photos from PC to iPod touch is easy, but this method needs Wi-Fi connection. Only over Wi-Fi connection can iCloud sync photo on PC with iPod touch.
transfer-pics-frm-laptop-ipod-oxaxc0rwhkhzilrwacqreyis-3-0.png Using iTunes to sync photos with iPod touch is also easy. But you should be very careful of the syncing function of iTunes because it is a double-edge sword. Once wrong click, you may lose data in your iPod.
1. Plug your iPhone into computer via the USB cable. Launch iTunes if it doesn't launch automatically.
2. Find "File" option on the upper left corner. Then click "Add File to Library".
3. Select photos from your PC and then iTunes will sync the photos to iPhone automatically.

My computer isnt recognising my white ipod cable to download from computer to ipod when i insert the white cable the computer doesnt register that its there and nothing happens on my ipod screen

First, Make sure the cord is plugged in all the way on the ipod and computer.  Also, you gots ta have itunes open so it will sync with the ipod.  Unplug the cord and try again.  Try the cord out on your friends or relatives ipod to see if you got a faulty cord.  If you got a bad cord, then throw it out and get you a new one. If the above don't works for ya then, unplug the cable.  Backup your itunes music. uninstall itunes.  Re-install the same version of itunes.  Open itunes and plug your ipod in making sure the connections are firm.  If that don't do it for ya, then your fu.k.d and need to take the thing back to the store for even exchange if your within your 30 day window or back to the Apple store if your within your 1 year window.  Note that Apple will reject you if you exposed this thing to liquids or dropped the thing.
