I am unsure which version of office you are using. This is a function of auto-correct. You may need to turn it off to stop this behavior, and turn it back on, if you need it to help you compose documents.
( My directions will be using Word 2007, which is what I have installed on my system.)
You need to open the Word Options panel. and go to Proofing.
GO into this location several times in a row, so that you can remember it better, and return to re-enable auto-correct. Uncheck the boxes needed to turn off this behavior.
When the word protect comes on it means there is a load problem, first! turn off the receiver, next remove all wires and speakers. Now turn the unit back on and make sure the volume is turned right down, this will reset the processor controller ic, if the word protect stays off it means there is a short in wires or one of the speakers. on the other hand if the word protect comes on when the receiver is switched on "without wires and speakers" you have a short in one or more of the audio output ic's in the receiver that will need a tech to correct.
After you click on or highlight the word you want you have to click change then it will change the word. You can not just click which spelling you want you have to click on change to change the word.
There is specific coding you need to use to get it to work. Word documents add special characters to the batch files causing them not to printer properly.
You could try a merge to printer opertion in word and see if that will work. Make sure you to turn the printer on and off before attempting it to reset the control codes.
