what you need to do is connect your usb drive, then open a command prompt window (Programs->accesories) and in this window type:

diskpart.exe
and press enter

you will be presented with another window similar to the first. In this new window type:

list volume
and press enter

this will show you a list of all drives connected to your machine.

Next type:
select volume *


where * is the volume number of the required drive listed in the list volume section.
and press enter
This will select the drive for the change you are about to make.

type:
detail volume
and press enter

this will list all of the attributes to do with the selected drive, you should see in there that the disk is write protected.

next type:
ATTRIBUTES DISK CLEAR READONLY
and press enter. Once the window has finished what it's doing you can close all of the command prompt windows and your disk should be ready to use again.

Flash drives are static , some times they have some proprietary
software pre-installed on them SanDisk are the only ones I know
of with added software pre-installed on them pay close attention
to the data that is being stored , since there is no registry entries
on the flash drive you can only save things such as photos , videos music and Executibles ( your programs exes ) anything else that you save came from your computers registry and can not be saved or reused without the registry . P.S. static drives
do not use the NTFS or the FAT32 configuration , those configurations are only for the operating system .

When i copy any data to my 32 Gb Kingston pen drive whether any audio or video file or any software, the data get corrupted or may be deleted. some trimes it happen that some of the AV files are working. Why this happened that the data are deleted. I have lost many of my files due to this.It cannot be fomatted also. Please sort my this problem. Thanx

What type of files are they (be more generic if files are personal and/or name the extension names of each files that cannot be deleted)

Solution:

- Try changing the name of the files and then deleting them

- Is your USB Password Protected ~ this may stop you from deleting those files (try deleting the Security on your USB)

- System Deletion Performance may be slow and.or unknown Deletion Command

i hv a 32 GB kingston pendrive, it can copy any type of data but whenever i copy from pen drive into my pc or copy from my pc to pen drive, it shows multiple empty folders in the same folder n audio-video files got currupted, softwares too. and also unable to delet

sounds like a bad hard disk or a malware virus interceptiong all data and corrupting it.
try www.hdtune.com free home version. if in health tab shows yellow. start looking for a hard disk
try in start, run (type) chkdsk /f black windows shows. press Y then enter reboot. see if it finds corruption. if its data not physical damage, it might fix it!
