Kitchenaid Dishwasher - LOUD

I have the same problem! Ours is three years old, and started making noise during the cycle and gets a little louder as it goes on. I'm so glad it is finished so I can hear again! It is a loud, grinding, and somewhat high pitched noise. The dishes seem to be getting clean - I've not noticed anything else different, except for the noise. I have the same problem! Our Kitchen Aid (Model KUDM01TJWH1) is having a noise issue after about 5 years. It was very quiet when we first got it. Now, it make a loud whining/laboring motor type of noise. When we first purchased & installed our Kitchen Aid Dishwasher, Model #KUDP01ILWH1 5+ years ago, it was so quiet. During the past year, noise level has increased significantly and time to complete wash cyle has increased. It's been serviced and repaired five times. Now, motor makes loud grinding noise, a new problem.



Will this go away, as another writer suggests due to small glass breakage, or is there another solution? I don't want to damage the motor more by continuing to run the unit.

Ours is 3 years old and the motor has started making a loud buzzing sound when it is running. I can hear it coming from the bottom. It stops intermittently when the motor stops during the cycles. I have the dishwasher 5 months and I started a grinding noise when it starts and when it washes approx 58 mins into a wash cycle. It lasts close to 20 mins. It sounds like the the floor is shaking. I will call for service in the morning. This is why I always take out an extended warranty.

Our Kitchenaid KUDPO1DL dishwasher too is just 5 years old and lately it just keeps getting louder and louder. Still cleans the dishes but the noise is like others said, can't run it at night as it will keep us awake.
