Gx620 boots up, then screen goes blank, reboot gives blank screen with cursor blinking. will boot with cd but still shuts down after a minute or two.

Remove the battery and open the case. Look inside the computer with a flashlight to see if any of the capacitors are busted or leaking from corrosion. The capacitors look like little battery towers, but they are not as tall as the AA or AAA batteries.

If the capacitors are bad, your computer goes bunkers.

Help.. my acer aspire computer screen has turned vertical on my notebook and the cursor isn't working.. what do I do?

Well, to get the screen back to normal, press Ctrl + Alt + Up Arrow. As for the cursor, try rebooting the computer after changing the screen back to normal. If that doesn't work, try another external mouse to get to the mouse settings from the control panel and see if anything has changed.
I hope this helps! Thank you for using FixYa!

The cursor on my pc freezes..

Temporary Solution

1) Click Start, then Click Control Panel

2) Double Click Mouse

3) Enable the cursor trail

You will be able to see your mouse, even after the original cursor freezes on screen.

Steps that can fix the problem.

This may also solve your problem. ONLY do if you are sure that you know how.

1) Right Click on MyComputer icon. Then Click Properties.

2) Click on Hardware Tab, then Click on Device Manager.

3) Uninstall your mouse AND keyboard. Connect your mouse directly to the USB.

Then reboot your computer (restart) and let the mouse reinstall automatically.

My mouse and keyboard do not move my cursor.

HAVE YOU GOT THE DISK THAT CAME WITH THE MOUSE TRY PUTTING IT IN. AND RE LOADING THE MOUSE AND KEYBOARD IF YOU CAN DIRECT YOUR COMPUTER USING THE UP AND DOWN KEYS . GO INTO DEVICE MANAGER AND SEE IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE DRIVERS. YOU MAY NEED TO REENSTALL THEM FROM. NEW OR TRY A REBOOT. ITS CONNECTED. TEST ALL CABLES AS WELL. ITS MOUSE AND KEYBOARD DRIVERS YOU NEED. THEY ARE ON DISK USUALLY. TRY WINDOWS DISK TO.
