MY CURSOR IS STUCK ON MY MAIN PAGE OF MY COMPUTER SCREEN , WHEN I REBOOT THE COMPUTER MY MOUSE LIGHTS UP BUT IT DOES NOT WORK I TRIED USING A DIFFERENT MOUSE BUT I AM NOT GETTING ANY RESULTS.
Try to reconnect the cable properly.make sure its well fitted to PS/2 port that it will not tend to loose. Then, restart your computer.if its not detected still,go to control panel then click add hardware wizard then detect the the mouse if its working or not.ok?

Remove the battery and open the case. Look inside the computer with a flashlight to see if any of the capacitors are busted or leaking from corrosion. The capacitors look like little battery towers, but they are not as tall as the AA or AAA batteries.
If the capacitors are bad, your computer goes bunkers.
Well, to get the screen back to normal, press Ctrl + Alt + Up Arrow. As for the cursor, try rebooting the computer after changing the screen back to normal. If that doesn't work, try another external mouse to get to the mouse settings from the control panel and see if anything has changed.

In Control Panel there is option to use your keyboard numeric keypad to move your mouse cursor.
Also you can use tab key from keyboard to select options and then press space or enter to select
Hi, my cursor had frozen on my screen after my grand daughter pressing something. After trying everything I decided to take it to a local computer shop, it was fixed in seconds. He held the arrow tab(below the caps lock tab) and then pressed F9 it worked!!

HAVE YOU GOT THE DISK THAT CAME WITH THE MOUSE TRY PUTTING IT IN. AND RE LOADING THE MOUSE AND KEYBOARD IF YOU CAN DIRECT YOUR COMPUTER USING THE UP AND DOWN KEYS . GO INTO DEVICE MANAGER AND SEE IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE DRIVERS. YOU MAY NEED TO REENSTALL THEM FROM. NEW OR TRY A REBOOT. ITS CONNECTED. TEST ALL CABLES AS WELL. ITS MOUSE AND KEYBOARD DRIVERS YOU NEED. THEY ARE ON DISK USUALLY. TRY WINDOWS DISK TO.
