Every time I hold down the 1 key to contact my answer phone the screen turns off for approx 5 seconds and then it reverts to the nokia opening screen and boots up. Does anyone know of a possible reason?

Yes it seems your firmware (software) became corrupt. You should first try a master reset. If that doesnt work, go to the Nokia website and do the software update, flash your phone. Worst case, you have to go to a nokia service center and they will flash it for you right on the spot. If you need more help, just goto my profile and im sure we can help you.

I have a Jabra Clear that won't match up with my phone

The first thing I'd suggest you do is to turn your cell phone off and, if possible, remove its battery for 10 to 15 seconds. Then replace the battery and turn the phone back on. If taking the battery off the phone is not possible, simply delete everything on the Bluetooth pairing memory. Also, we will need to reset the Jabra headset to the factory settings.
Turn the headset ON. Then press and hold the volume down and answer/end buttons at the same time for approx. 5 seconds until the battery icon and Bluetooth® icon flash 5 times simultaneously - then the pairing list is reset.
Turn the headset OFF. The next time you power on, the headset will go into pairing mode as the first time you powered your new Jabra headset on.
Once in pairing mode, your cell phone should be able to add the Jabra headset as a new device from within its Bluetooth menu.

My phone locked wont take my gmail information.

Hi Amarie,

My name is Ryan and I work on behalf of Cricket. You may try a set of options below. If you continue to experience issue logging into your phone, please visit a full service corporate Cricket store for direct hands on assistance with unlocking your phone.

Best,
Ryan

1. try to introduce as a null password. (Together with your Google user name)
2. re-enter your user name [email protected]
3. Combine 1 and 2
4. You call yourself from another phone, the answer, hang up, press the start button, then menu button, settings, try to disable the blocking pattern
5. You call yourself from another phone, answer, hang up, hang up immediately after pressing the start like a madman for 6. Try to restore the normal routine GMail.com password and start again from 1.
7. Perform a factory reset. Lose all non-synchronized DATA (SD card is left intact.)
1.6 are possible solutions, these do not work for everyone, but it may be worth trying to avoid factory reset. 6. is what should work, but hardly ever. 7 - factory reset always works

Final Update

In this case the solution is to do a factory reset (sometimes referred to as hard reset or wipe). This will erase all data on the phone (not your SD card). Your contacts and email should be in line with Google's servers, no problem then. The downloaded applications should be installed again, but there is a list of your previous downloads in the Android Market-> Downloads Mi. Also if they are lost if not backed up manually with a 3rd party application. Example of things that are lost: Call logs, text messages, application settings.

This is your three-step solution

1. Factory reset the phone (links to manuals Android devices can be found below, differs between devices)
2. Setup phone like you did the first time I unpacked it (use the same Google account if you want your old contacts again!)
3. Restore any backup manual and install the above applications from the list of My Downloads.

If above does not work, please try additional reset steps -

This document is intended for end users, retail stores, authorized service centers, or companies who have forgotten the ZIO block pattern and have not yet registered with Google, or forgot the Google Gmail account and password.

WARNING: This process will erase all user settings and downloaded applications. Data on the SD memory card and my backup is maintained. Before following the steps below, make sure the phone is off.

1. Turn off the phone.
a. Press and hold for 2 seconds red end> Options> Phone>> select Shut Down>> phone will turn off>> Ok
a)
2. Remove the battery for 15 seconds and change the battery.

3. Turn on the phone.
a. Hold the red END key for 2 seconds and wait until the device turns on completely.
b)
4. Turn off the phone.
a. Press and hold for 2 seconds red end> Options> Phone>> select Shut Down>> phone will turn off>> Ok
Procedure, cont.

5. Press and hold the Volume Up button using the left thumb.

6. While holding the volume up key, use the right hand to press the green Send key, the track ball white and red end key (sequence).

7. Continue to hold the 4 keys to all the way down until the phone vibrates twice and then release the keys and trackball.
a. And data format appears Cache
1. If you do not see this (and cache data format) redo steps 1 through 7.

2. If you get a quick start self-test, or the blue screen redo steps 1 through 7.

8. Allow the phone to completely reboot. This process may take some time.

9. The phone has been re-set the factory default settings. Please proceed through established standards and procedures for activation.

NOTE: If a self-screen or blue screen, complete restoration was done incorrectly. Please try again from step 1.

I have the phonemate 2970 answering machine/phone and satellite extension phone. When I turn the sat phone on I get a series of beeps and the HOLD light flashes for about 6 times then shuts down. I...

1. Remove the AC adapter plug from the back of the base unit (not from the wall); leave tel cord connected.

2. While holding down the "set code" button under the cassette lid, plug the ac adapter back into the base. The screen will then display some numbers (110) etc.

3. Hold down the HANDSET keys 1 and 2 simultaneously and then press the speaker button on top within 20 seconds.

4. Press any 3 digits on the handset i.e. 1-2-3.

5. After hearing a BEEP from the handset and base, press 2 on the handset. The base should then say "twenty-five", and the handsets will beep, confirming the new security code is enabled. Press talk or speaker on handset to confirm communication.

6. The time/day stamp and remote access code will be cleared.

7. Best to do this with the answering mach turned off.

8. Restart this procedure if anything goes wrong (may hear a series of error beeps).

I saved my manual and in it I had a fax Casio sent me with these instructions (i had this prob a few times years ago). Good luck!

When powered on start up is up to windows screen only

try to hard reset your phone to return to its factory setting, but please be reminded that this procedure will lose all your user settings, data such as contacts, messages etc,. so we always suggest to back up your phone first,. but in your case, if your phone doesn't open normally there is no way you can back 'em all up. better to sacrifice the data than sacrificing your phone. :)
to perform a hard reset.. 1. Press and hold both soft keys 2. While holding down soft keys, press and release the power button, wait for 3 to 5 second (this time phone should power itself on) 3. Release both soft keys 4. when the screen looks like it is on dos format, press the green key (send key or answer key)
if not successful, repeat the steps....
