How do I get song's off my sansa e250r MP3?

I don't have the original software when I purchased the mp3 player and now my memory is about full and I want to get rid of some songs, how do I delete them? I can't find an option within the player and when I plug it in to the computer, It doesn't allow me to play my songs.

Added 2gb micro card

The player can read the card, but it is not going to add more memory space to the player. The function of the card reader is to enable your player to play songs that you otherwise couldn't play because the hard drive is full.

Deleting songs on player e250R

Step One
Connect the USB cable to your Sansa MP3 player, then hook the other end to a free USB port on your computer.

Step Two
Give the computer time to recognize the Sansa MP3 player. Once it has, double-click on the MP3 player’s icon to view the music files stored to memory.

Step Three
Scroll through the list of audio files until you find the ones that you wish to delete from the Sansa MP3 player.

Step Four
Click on single items or click and lasso multiple files.

Step Five
Right-click on the highlighted files to pull down an action list and from there select Delete. The computer will ask if you really want to throw the file away. Select OK.

Step Six
Exit from the window, then disconnect the USB cable from the Sansa MP3 player. The player will automatically turn off. The memory will update the first time you turn the player on after deleting songs.

I hope that helps!!

Deleting music off of my sansa E250r!!HLP ME

If you originally used rhapsody (or began in Rhapsody mode) , you have to use rhapsody to remove the songs. If that doesn't work, you can manually open the music folder by enabling "hidden folders" under "tools" -> "folder options..." -> click the "view" tab -> scroll and check "show hidden files and folders". Then go to My Computer -> Sansa e250 -> "system" -> "music" -> then delete the songs. I don't know the effects of using this method, so use it at your own risk.

Btw, Real Player should do fine as well.

Used memory i never used

With most MP3 players, some of the memory is used for system files and software. Just delete all the things you done use (i.e. pictures, playlists, Rhapsody Channels) and whatever space you have free is what you have to work with.

If you want more memory, I highly suggest a microSD card

Finding the music to delete

Use Media Monkey instead, or change Windows Media Player's configuration, so that it sees more songs.

I can not get the song off that came with the mp3 player. help!!!

It might be a glitch and I had my Sandisc Sansa e250R mp3 player for a very short time but I think if you delete the Rhapsody Channels with the player instead of the computer it might work. Hope it works
