Unable to uninstall Lexmark x4580 printer

Try to insert the installation disc into the computer hard drive and run the install setup. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen.
You can also try the downloadable Lexmark X4580 printer driver from the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/pOdfTQ. Select your operating system, download and execute the file. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.

Please try this. Run the install disk/web installer -> select Support -> select Uninstall. If Uninstall initializes, reboot your computer after the process finishes. Then reinstall using the new driver.
If the "Uninstall" option is not available, it would be best to contact Lexmark technical support for assistance.

You need to install the Lexmark X4580 driver for Windows 7. Check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by clicking on the Windows logo Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. It's looking on your computer for the scanning software, It won't scan unless the scan software is running so that it knows how to scan and where to send the scanned image.

Go to Lexmark website and download the driver.

Uninstall the whole printer throught the control panel. 

With the Lexmark printers communication subsystem you MUST let the driver ask for you to plug in the printer. DO NOT plug the printer into the USB port until told to do so.

To fix a fouled install :
(1) Uninstall the Lexmark drivers in Add Remove Programs
(2) Shutdown the computer
(3) Disconnect the printer from the USB port
(4) Restart the computer
(5) Run the Driver Installation software
(6) Cancel ALL attempts by windows to auto install the printer
(7) When the sofware asks for the printer connect it and continue

I had this problem also. After some research I found this was the only way to clear the cue.

Go to Control Panel > Printers > Right click on your Lexmark Printer > Select "Run as Administrator" > select "clear print cue"

It will ask you if you are sure - click yes/ok.

Your print cue will now be clear.

Trying to use task manager will not clear your print cue in the system, only the window notifying you of print cue items.

Unfortunately Vista and the Lexmark 6150 do not get along and this will probably keep happening.
