Hi - Totally new to DS (just bought one for daughter's Christmas present) Probably sound daft here but can games be saved if not completed and continued afterwards? Don't seem able to see any save option, nor in fact any quit & save option in games.(Have to quit by switching unit off and seem to lose any game info) ) Any help greatly appreciated. Andy
If i remember correctly i had two different ds's a original DS and a DSI both of these have automatic game save so your daughter can play a game and just press quit when shes done and it will automatically save it. I hope this helps Merry Christmas!

The game does not provide an option to delete save files and the recommended method is to simply start a new game and overwrite the existing files
Saying that, you can delete save files by purposely corrupting the files (by, say, turning off the DS as the game is saving), although there is a small element of risk as you can end up with a partially corrupted save that you can neither load from or save to
Hi,
It shouldnt matter where it was bought,i've bought a few games when i was in Usa last year and they work on a console i bought here in Ireland.
Try this, this is what i came across before on Prof Layton,
When you go to save a game and the three spaces are used up,select one and overwrite it,you can only save 3 at a time
Hope this helps,

Hi! I just bought my ds lite. but the thing is, there is no option in most of the games to save it. how do you do that? and also, how do you change games? like in PSP, you just quit after saving, in DS, what we do is just turn it off..how do you do that? help!
Well, if you're using the same cartridge, it will still have the saved data on a seperate DS. I gave my step sister my game with my saved data, and she powered it on a seperate DS (her DS) and it still had my saved data on it. But on another cartridge, he'll have to catch up to the place that you are at.
Well maybe when you turn it on, it might be on manual mode. To switch it to auto mode, Press options then press the wrench and then find auto or manual mode and then, switch it to auto mode. Save the options and then it should play the game. If it doesn't work, blow into the DS game and then the DS game slot.
