I replaced the black ink in my printer and now when I try to photocopy I keep getting error message 2200. There is no solution in my manual for error code 2200. I found one fix online that states: removed the power cord and then press the power button for 20 seconds to reset the printer memory. I tried this solution and while it does reset the printer I still get the error code when I try to photocopy.
Hi,
The issue you are experiencing with your printer i.e error 2200 is related to "Scan Carrier Stall error" I believe the steps mentioned below will fix the issue,
1. Unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
2. Disconnect the power supply from the back of the printer.
3. Wait 15 seconds.
4. Reconnect the power supply to the back of the printer.
5. Plug the power cord back into the wall socket.
I would appreciate if you could let me know if you have refilled the black cartridge, cause Dell printer often give error messages if the cartridges are refilled and not replaced with an original Dell one. If you have done so please replace the cartridge with a genuine Dell cartridge.

Have tried unplugging and doing the 15 second thing....installed the firmware from dell support......still error 2200.
