Hello,
The pickup rollers on your tray are worn out. If you pull out the tray and look at the pickup rollers they should have a rough surface and your are going to be smooth. The printer is trying to pickup the paper but can't so the printer thinks the paper is jammed. You will need to replace the rollers, a very easy thing to do. We sell the set of pickup rollers for $6.95 shipped.
Contact us at 318-447-9040 or [email protected] if you need a set.
I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Several thing can cause this jamming in lexmark options trays. here are somethings to check. if you pull the drawer all the way out and turn the tray assembly upside down on the left side of the track that the drawer rides on there is a bell crank its pretty small qnd sticks out of the frame about 1/4 of an inch this adjusts the tension to the 2 feed wheels that align the the paper to the paper path if this flag is broken off the paper wont leave the tray. if you remove the three screws from the auto compensator and install it on another tray that works fine you can rule out the auto compensator in less than 5 minutes. if you get a jam error with out any paper jam then it can very well be the logic boards nvram has been corrupted. there are two sides to the circuits in those trays have you moved tray three to position 1 to see if you have the same problem? the bottom circuit of tray 2 can be causing your tray 3 problem to rule this out move the tray.
