click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to ports(COM&LPT) + to expand you should see a communication port and Ecp printer port you might see a yellow? ! question exclamation mark or a red X this will mean you need to install a new driver for this device right click you will have options to update driver,disable,uninstall or select properties again you will have the similiar options also you can troubleshoot the device and if you dont have the drivers

there must be a problem on the mechanical system specially the cartridge carrier open the cover and check for any breaks on the belts replace them if any.

The teardrop is the ink symbol, if you open the cover and press the ink button it will move to allow changing.

That flashing amber light is usually a sign the power supply is failed or is failing. I would suspect the power supply is the problem in yours. It is the better of the two problems connected with the flashing amber light..the other is motherboard is failing. Arrrr!

Looks like you are having a no post situation, generally a failed motherboard. Replacement motherboards are available on Ebay for around $100

Try `driverguide` on the net.
Update your printer driver, this should solve your problem.
Also check the printer lead is ok

Remove all ink cartridges. Then unplug your printer and plug it in again

Ink has leaked into the printer and messages say problems with colour/black ink cartridge. Would cleaning the ink out of the print solve problem and if so what solvent is best to use.
