My HP Pavilion s7310n was running and the monitor was shut off. When I turned the monitor back on I realized that the pc was off. Whenever I try to start the pc, the light on the front and the one on the back flickers, but goes out and the pc will not start.

Did you connect the sata power cable as well

The switch on the front of the pc may be bad. You can try to bypass the switch, jump it.

This is an easy one, Purchase a new suitable PSU, probably from Dell, You will find a set of 4 screws at rear of machine, in line with PSU, undo these 4 screws. Unplug the plugs from all the connections, MotherBoard, DVD, Hard Drive etc etc. Then simply do the reverse procedure.. carefully reassemble..

Good day sir, we dont usually repair a CD/DVD burner, we returm them to the supplier if they are on warranty, if not we buy a new CD/DVD burner, its much cheaper than to have it serviced.
