I have just purchased a used 501HT model and had it installed by a plumber and electrician. It does not seem to work, when I close the door and push the start button. Can you help ? Also, there is a liquid soap hose from the back; is liquid the recommended soap ? Can you use powder in them or not ? Any assistance is appreciated. Alicia

Many years ago they used to have door-to-door salesmen trying to sell a water softener that worked by installing some sort of magnet on outside of pipe... it was a fraud.

This little plumber product seems same type of scam.

If you can hear the the motor running then call the plumber....if the motor don't run then call the electrician...

Could be the switch marked delime is in the on position.. That switch should be in off position. (pushed in at bottom)

I've never liked the push button ones I 've always purchased the door with a handle and you pull and push to open and close the door

Has a household fuse blown or has a circuit breaker tripped?
There may be 2 household fuses or circuit breakers for the dryer. Make sure both fuses are intact and tight, or that both circuit breakers have not tripped. Replace the fuse(s) or reset the circuit breaker(s). If the problem continues, call an electrician.
Is the correct power supply available? (Electric dryers only)
Electric dryers require 240-volt power supply. Check with a qualified electrician.
Is the dryer door firmly closed?
Your dryer door may not be fully closed. It may look shut, but may not be latched. Push on the door to engage the latch or latches. Some models have an upper and lower latch. Both latches must be secure for the dryer to run.
Was the Start, Push to Start or Hold to Start button firmly pressed?
Large loads may require the Start, Push to Start, or Hold to Start button to be pressed and held for two to five seconds.
Is the Cycle Control knob set on a Sensor Dry or Timed Dry cycle? (on some models)
The Cycle Control knob must be set in a Automatic Dry or AccudryTM or Timed Dry cycle. The dryer will not start if set on the Wrinkle ShieldTM option.
Is Controls Locked status light on? (on some models)
Press and hold the Cycle Signal button for three seconds. This will turn off the Controls Locked feature.
Did you recently install a power supply cord on the dryer? (Electric dryers only)
The power supply cord may be incorrectly installed. If the power cord is incorrectly installed, the dryer may not start or heat. Review the Installation Instructions to check that the power supply cord is properly installed.

Your problem is: You were given a Jensen Air Masseur tub without installation plans. It has a blower to connect - model T02-250-120/60-P2-J1. Is there someplace you can find the plans for this. Your electrician does not know how to connect all the wires. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I can usually wire this up myself, but any electrician worth his salt can figure it out. If you're having trouble finding such a person then you'll have to get in touch with the manufacturer to get an electrical diagram or instructions.

Then my advise to you is don't worry about it! The unit should be under warranty. It's time to make the call. Let the warranty repairman worry about it. If he can't fix it, he has the authority to condemn it and you'll get a new one. Anyway, this is one problem you should not have to worry about.

Your question is: Is there a way to adjust the closure to close the door more?

First lets back up a little . You say it's leaking dishwasher detergent ( during the wash ). Before you do anything else take a look at the type and/or amount of soap you're useing. Have you recently made a change? I have found that the problem is in this somewhere. If you don't find a solution there then consider a local pro. Unless it's old the problem isn't the gasket and the door closure is factory set. If it's still under warranty then it might be time to make a call.
