1st try to check if your video driver is installed and working good.
right click "My computer" select properties
choose "Device Manager" then left click mouse
from the Display list check "Video" if there's a yellow mark warning with question mark (?) it means that your video driver is not installed. You'll be needing to download a video driver and install if this warning appear.
if no warning proceed to next step.
2) go to "Start" select "Control Panel" then enter
choose "Display" (icon having a LCD monitor)then press enter
from the list choose "Setting" then change value of screen resolution to
1280X800 pixels. or 1280X760 pixels
note: display setting will change as well as icons and it will ask you if you'll save the setting you made. just press ok if your satisfied with the icon size you see in the monitor.
cheers,
mark
What is the OS??
Right click on the desktop and click on "Properties", "seettings" and set screen resolution to at least 1024 X 768 for LCD monitor or 800 X 600 for CRT monitors.
If they are set to those then there may be a prob with video driver.
Need more in depth explaination.
