Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

Files from Rhapsody Won't Play

I've recently purchased the sansa e260 to go with my rhapsody subscription. I upgraded to rhapsody to go to be able to listen to music portably. Everything was working fine as Rhapsody recognized my device and I was able to transfer songs onto the player without any issues. However, when I try to play the file on my mp3 player it sometimes plays one second and stops other times it doesn't start playing at all.

I've tried a large number of suggestions from various sources, including downgrading and upgrading my firmware, changing my drm folder name, uninstaling and reinstalling rhapsody, deauthorizing and reauthorizing both my computer and rhapsody. As well as a few other things. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else I could do?

Thanks,
Jack

Do you have a music account with Rhapsody? If so, you need to log into your Rhapsody account and connect your player. It checks your account basically to make sure you have paid your subscription fees.

Sansa e260

You need to synch them to Rhapsody or whatever music service you pulled the songs from. also, make sure your music service subscription supports transfer to portable devices instead of simple transfer to a computer.

Player stopped working with rhapsody

Uh, I had a similar problem which was extremely difficult to solve. What you want to do is reformat your entire MP3 player. YOU WILL LOSE ALL THE MUSIC ON YOUR SANSA. But you can simply resynch it.

Synchronize to continue your music subscribtion???????

You have to synchronize your Sansa to a computer that has a current subscription to Rhapsody, and you have to sync the Sansa to that same computer at least once every 30 days, or the Rhapsody songs will stop working. Use a different music service that is free, or convert all of the songs to Mp3 format to get around the problem. If you get a subscription to another music svc, then you must maintain a current subscription with whatever new svc you choose as well.

Won't sync rhapsody music!!

Make sure the date/time settings on your player are accurate. Mine got reset to last year and it was thinking that my subscription was expired when it wasn't.

Pink Screen Synchronize to continue your music subscription

Renew your Rhpasody or Napster subscriptions and reload/resync the songs - those two service shave fixed-term licenses
