The tv has no sound

    i try to go up on the sound and it just blinks and stay at 0. how do you reset the TV

I googled this a bit and found the sound going out is a normal problem , if under warranty still call polaroid
here is the service manual

looks like its a chip on the output of the video ad board.
or since the sound was terrible anyway get a surround sound speakers and connect them to your cable box, no cable box then you will have to have it fixed.

Check the websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish tv manual comtol board like Power, volume - +,channels - + menu operation functions manual control board for the replacement.The one on ur tv might be dead or u lucky probally just lose.

So you lost your remote to change the input to your vhs is on the side of the tv. FIRST turn on your VHS then hit the input button which is on the right side of the tv it is the sixth button. It's bad power board or bad inverter.

Yep. Symptoms could be anything from high-pitched hum to no picture at all. On these defective models, I would start at the caps and work back. It won't hurt to replace them anyway.

Polaroid says the part is the control box,,Cost to fix is around 700.00. Yuck Yuck. Polaroid offered a refurbished tv in place of the one that doesn't work. they offered a 90 day warranty. The costs of shipping my old one back to them was at my expense.....
