the most common problem is a bad sealing door ,when the door is closed it is not supposed to let warm air in and cold air out ,but if the seal is faulty then the opposite happens and this causes the build up of ice,take a good look at the door seal a good way of finding out if this is the problem is to run your fingers around the seal when the door is closed for a while if faulty you will find a warm spot where the cold and warm mix causing a warm spot.adrian,,,,,,,,,,

I would replace the evaporator fan, this fan problem is hard to diagnose because the fan will spin but not fast enough to circulate the chilled air thru the freezer and the refrigerator. The minimum cost to repair/replace is around $300.00

sounds like the relay is bad replace the relay this should take care of the problem it is located on the compressor

I would look to the condenser where the heat is removed from the refrigeration system for your problem. Check and make sure the condenser fan operates, check the compressor for operation. If the condenser is plugged with dust it will cause the compressor to cycle on its thermal overload protector. Normally in back there is a removable panel to access the condenser and compressor area. make sure you reinstall the cover after you are done. It is critical to proper operation and cooling of the system.

Open the freezer door and look down the ice chute while you shine a flashlite up the dispenser cute from the outside. If you see light around the chute door, it needs to be replaced. The problem you describe is almost always air laekage around that flap. Post back if you need more help.
