Most washers have a speed limiter in them to prevent the unit from damaging itself "IF" it is severely out of balance. Your solution is to redistribute the load, so it will not be out of balance and/or wash smaller loads so the machine can redistribute the load itself.

Hope this helps..

I had this issue. Problem is probably with door lock and switch assembly. Google "error codes" for your washer and you will find how to check if this is it. Even if the "error code" does not indicate it-it is still worth fixing. You CAN DO IT BY YOURSELF. Remove the hoop around the boot. Remove he boot. Look in the door lock space and unscrew the assembly-easy to do. Gently pull it out and disconnect the 2 or 3 electrical plug-ins. Replace with new part in reverse order. Part is about 80 dollars and available on-line or in local store. Takes literally 15minutes to do and I can' t fix anything!

There is a speed limitation feature that protects the unit from spinning to fast when it is OUT OF BALANCE..... You can solve it one of two ways. 1.) Make the load smaller so not to trigger the Speed Limitation Sensor. "OR" 2.) Stop the washer in mid-spin, redistribute the load so it will not spin OUT OF BALANCE and you will be pleased.... Kindly, Jim

Water left in clothes

The shaft was designed to rotate into 2 directions: one for agitation, one for spinning. The spinning direction is controlled by a mechanism from the clutch engagement. When your plastic pulley wears out, it effects the mechanism to spin. The driving force for spinning is slipped, therefore the spin is weak As a matter of fact, the water remaining in clothes n in turn discharges to the bottom tube

Whirlpool lhw0050pq washer will not spin

Possible your belt is loose; you have to unscrew the back after disconnecting electrical connection from wall socket. If the belt "gives" more than half an inch, you have to loosen the motor bolts and push motor upwards, then tighten the bolts very well. Try spin only to check, before closing the behind. It shd spin very fast.
