That is the classic symptom when your convergence ICs go out. They usually take out the two resistors that drive the ICs as well. This is a easy fix if you can solder. Your ICs are located on a large heat sink on the left side of the chassis they will have an STK392-110 number or similar number. They cost about 10.00 each. The chassis will slide out if you remove the screws in the frame along the back. You may have to give the wires some slack from the plastics ties that they have securing the wires. That silver box is the heat sink the ICs are on the other side of that. Mounted on the back side. Did you get the service manual? It will show you exactly where everything is located and how the chassis is laid out.

thanx for getting back to me so fast. im going to brave the unknown and attempt to go in without protection:) i will let you know what i come up with . now to figure out where i will get these parts i need.
ok i was in the belly of the beast. and to the left only the jack connector pannle and the boards attatced to it. in the center is a large heat sink vertical and behind it a silver box that reads con verg or something to that affect. and my head is to big to sqeezzz in there. :) to see behind it hermmm. now im stumpped.
ok i do not have the manual . im going in on your discription alone for now. oh sorry i havent gotten back to u on this . its been alittle crazy here at the moment and your help is most welcom.
