Rear Burner is hotter than the front burner on my Weber Grill

I have a Weber Spirit Grill that is 15 years old and heats unevenly. The rear burner is hotter that the front burner. This condition is present when the thermostat is set at low medium or high. The grate surfaces above the rear burner have turned a ashen white. Do you have any suggestions to re-balance the heat pattern.

Since the grill is 15 years old, it is probably time to rebuild it. Replace both burners and anything else that is not working properly

Charcoal and grease build up can restrict even the best gas burners , my suggestion is to clean your gas burners with a burner tip tool . You can purchase these at Lowes or Menards . Here is a website for you to visit to get the ideal . http://www.metaltech.com.sa/victor/tips.htm

Need photo of how to replace the 5 "V" shaped

The 'V' shaped metal bars are the flavorizer, flame tamer or whatever Weber wants to cal them. They go over top of each burner from front to rear, setting on the ledge of the interior of the grill, just above the burners. make sure that cover each burner equally. Now's a good time to clean them if they have a lot of grease on them.

Since the grill was blown off your deck ... make sure all the burners are intact are not damage and there are no gas leaks from tank to the grill.

My Weber gas grill is less than a year old. The

gas regulator make sure all burners are off when you connect bottle... the units have a leak sensor and will stop the gas coming out because it thinks you have a leak when you connected the bottle. now try hooking up the bottle again with all the burners closed incl. the side burner and the infa red. It will work o.k. then

My grill does not exceed 300 degrees. The rear burner is barely lit, it sputters with a blue flame. The Front and middle burners run well, blue flame no yellow. I changed the regulator with one from home...

Bypass valve need reset. All grills made after 1996 have this valve.
  • Close the LP tank valve
  • Turn all burner control knobs to the OFF position
  • Open the grill lid
  • Turn the LP tank valve until it is completely open
  • Wait 90 seconds
  • Turn the front burner to the HI/Start position
  • Press the igniter until the burner is lit.
  • Turn remaining burners to High
  • Close the lid.
  • The grill should preheat to 500-550 degrees in 10-15 minutes
I called Weber and a rep walk me through it.

The temp/flame on my weber grill won't get hotter

Hello,

Check the excess flow safety device, which is part if the barbeque to cylinder connection, may have activated. To reset the excess flow safety device turn all burner control knobs and the cylinder valve off.
Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder. Turn burner control knobs to high. Wait at least 1 minute . Turn burner control knobs OFF. Reconnect the regulator to the cylinder. turn cylinder valve slowly.

Gas burners heat unevenly

I had a similar problem. I took off the burner heat deflectors and seen gaping holes in the burner tubes. Get your model number and serial number and call Weber. Most Ducane grills have a 5 year warranty on the burner tubes. They will ship them free if under warranty!
