Is this Pulse frame brand new out of the box (ie never been set up), or has it previously been set up and somehow got switched to a new language?

If previously set up, log into your kodakpulse.com account, and click on the "Frame Settings" tab. From there you can switch languages, and the frame will update to your desired language after a few minutes.

If the frame has never been set up before, you can reset the frame to a default language by simultaneously depressing both buttons on the back of the frame and then touch the "Trash can" icon (ie the "reset all" icon). WARNING - THIS WILL RESET THE FRAME TO THE FACTORY DEFAULT OUT OF THE BOX SETTING AND DELETE ALL PICTURES AND WEB SETTINGS, so only do this IF THIS FRAME HAS NOT BEEN PREVIOUSLY CONFIGURED.

i have the same problem for nero 8 smart.i can't open because the same message fatal error.

I couldn't find very specific information about your picture frame. I did find out it is from a company called Smart Parts and it is not a Kodak frame.

If I had to guess, I would say that the frame is not SDHC compatible. What this means is that it only will work with cards up to 2gb (SD).

I saw a review site (http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews115912.html) that had a lot of reviews about how the frame does not like to read jpgs from the SD cards so this could be the issue if the one above is not.

My recommendation would be to try to use a 2gb card. If that does not work, try loading the pictures onto the frame directly from the computer.

The firmware of your digital picture frame needs to be updated but since you can't do anything because after a few seconds the frame will shut down it needs to be send for repair. To process repair visit www,kodak.com/go/itg. Follow the troubleshooting guide page and at the end of the troubleshooting guide you will be able to fill up a form to send frame for repair.
