Question about Emerson MBOX700 Portable Headrest Monitor with DVD Player Car Video Player

My son took off the door that covers the dvd. the player wont operate and says open but powers up. Is there a way around this? Or where can i buy this cover

The best solution is to call the company and see if they can send a new one or you try to take the cover off and find the safety switch and krazy glue it down so it will operate be advised that any jaring or moving may make the disk skip. thank you for your question

Disc door won't open. DVD in will still play. How can we make the door open
try to re start the power first to reset the supply in which the door unable to open and then push the open/close button to open the door. if still won't open maybe their is an stuck up at mechanical part, so turn off the player then use a Phillip screw driver to loosen the screws and to remove the cover of the DVD player .you can now access the disc mechanical assembly of your DVD player, remove the CD first and then check if the plastic gear is mis aligned or the the drive belt is broken.much better if you can apply silicon grease in plastic gear for smooth operation.then make sure the open/close button is ok, good luck and good day.

Unfortunately if the door is latched but with power then the loading motor section is struck or failed. If there is no power at all the power supply unit has failed. you will need to check on the SMPS unit . Check my tips column for SMPS maintenance.

Display flashing Hello and clunking sound from DVD RW. Will not change from Hello nor will it open or close
sounds like you have broken piece moving around on the inside or broken dvd inside my youngest son put a music cd in my dvd player and didnt put it in right and it broke causing player to make clunking sound and door refused to open. The broken cd was found when player was opened up and sorry to say the tray was broken because of it

Tne dvd door will not open
These are instructions to open door if DVD is jammed or the DVD recorder wont open.

Unscrew the 7 cover screws and the 2 foot screws. Remover player cover.

Pry the front control cover off from the top of the player and not the bottom with a thin screw driver paying attention not to crack or break the tabs. Just lift them enough to clear the hooks.Then lower the cover withut removing it so you can gain access to the DVD front internal bezel.

On the left side of the DVD recorder there is a notch with a lever in it. gently push on it as this is the release for the DVD door. Remove DVD from tray and close.

Re-install all covers and screws. Machine should work after this.

My dvd says open door will not open
You probably need a new dvd belt it is 24.25 mm rectangular. or it could've slipped off. Take off cover and move white wheel with teeth very gently until dvd tray starts to open then you can gently pull on it only pull it half way out and look in center of where dvd would normally be. There you will see the bigger and smaller wheels that control dvd player. look around for the belt. Make sure power is off when you do all this.

My Memorex MVD 2042 won't open for me to insert a disk.
Mine did the same thing. I unplugged power, took off bottom ( seven screws on mine), took bar off covering lens ( two screws) cleaned rod that the door slides on with q-tip damp with rubbing alcohol. dabbed the rod afterwards with machine oil put everything back and now it works!

Door will not open or close
i ended up retrieving the dvd out of mine after it quit coming on by taking the top cover off and taking the cover off the dvd it just snaps in place by clipping on each side.

No wiring harness for my headrest monitors. Product not listed. My wife and I recently purchased 2 Invision Revolution headrest monitors off of ebay. The units are supposed to work properly or so it was described as such. The monitors came without the wiring harness.Which I knew wasn't being sold with the monitors. I however did not know that these monitors have to use their own wiring harness in order to work. I would like to know if it is possible to make a simple wiring harness for these monitors with item that can be purchased at an electronics store. I spoke with the people at Invision and the man said that these wiring harnesses were made with a patented design so that not just anyone can install. Oh yeah the wiring harness was priced at $400.00-500.00 US. In my opinion thats alot of extra expense for monitors that I am not even for sure work properly. I guess that if there is a simple way to test these monitors for functionality I could more easily justify the expense. But if a cheaper way is out there I would love to know about it.These monitors came from a Hummer H3 2005 and if this problem is solved and everything works out they will be placed inside 2007 Hummer H3.
