Pixma ip1500 permanent paper jam-with video showing

Hi. It's a few days I get the message "Paper jam. Remove the jammed paper, and press the Resume/Cancel button." But there is no paper! I tried also to disassemble the printer several time, but I can't see anything stuck anywhere and I keep on getting the same error. I also tried to print with 2 different computers. Here you can see the video of the printer disassembled with no paper and giving the paper jam error. Any solutions? thanks!

I tried also this, but it doesn't help.
This printer costs something like 50 dollars, so it's not worth to send it to the manufacturer. That's why I'm trying to do it myself.
Maybe the paper sensor could be broken?

I tryed it but it doesn't work

I thought the sensor was that one in the middle where I put a circle in
the picture, but maybe I'm wrong. I posted 2 pictures with a close up
of what I supposed to be the sensor, and the next 2 at wide angle so
that someone can tell me which is the sensor

The printer continuously shows paper jam despite there being no paper, paper residue, dirt or any other foreign object blocking the printer. I have tried clean install of most up-to-date (v.1.8 win xp) printer drivers, including the suggestion of closing the spool manager process through the task manager.
Noe of this has worked at all. This seems to be a hardware issue, and judging by others' valiant attempts, one that cannot be repaired at home. I'm just hoping that there is something simple we have all missed.

The problem is with the software of your printer.. here's what you should do.. install back your printer, and then turn on your computer.. press ctrl + shift + escape.. this will open the task manager.. on the task manager, look for spool.exe and end its process... afterwards, try to reboot your computer.. i just hope this will work.. and please don't disassemble your printer again.... if this won't work, send your printer back to the manufacturer and they will have it fixed for you.. ok?

Hello, I have a canon pixma printer iP1500 and it has been working fine until yesterday. I keep getting a paper jam message but no paper is stuck. Then the paper will go in off sided and the paper does...

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

Paper jam showing when no paper in the printer

Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:

1. Turn off your printer
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the printer
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your printer

Canon Pixma MP160 shows errors E3 and won't print

Hi there,

Error E3 : Check if the paper has jammed in the machine, reload the paper in the machine correctly and then press [Black] or [Color].

Paper Jams :
Cause : Paper jams in the paper output slot/ Auto Sheet Feeder.
Landscape Credit Card sized paper jams inside the machine.

Action : Remove the paper according to the following procedure.
1) Slowly pull the paper out, either from the Auto Sheet Feeder or from the paper output slot, whichever is easier.
* If the paper tears and a piece remains inside the machine, open the Scanning Unit and remove it. Be careful not to touch the components inside the machine at this time. After removing the paper, close the Scanning Unit, turn the machine OFF and turn it back ON.
* If you cannot pull the paper out, turn the machine OFF and turn it back ON. The paper will eject automatically.

2) Reload the paper into the machine and press [Black] or [Color].
* If you have turned OFF the machine in step , you will need to retry printing, because this operation cancels any print jobs in progress.

If you cannot remove the paper or the paper tears inside the machine, or if the paper jam error continues after removing the paper, contact a Canon service representative.
Important : You cannot load Credit Card sized paper in the landscape orientation.

Hope this helps.
Have a good day.

My canon mx310 keeps showing a paper jam alarm and there is no paper jam. how do I fix it?

give this a try

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

Canon Pixma iP1500 printer indicates paper jam

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button. (On the X83, press the Select button.)
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.
