Either the power supply/inverter board is bad, or the bulbs are bad - or poorly connected. In my case, the solder joints at the end of the bulbs in the top and bottom were horrible. A quick resolder on the corroded bits and good as new.

When I turn on my tv the screen is white and nothing else happens.

This is a common symptom of a power supply failure on the TLA-01911c. The board has parts called capacitors that filter the output power and when they go bad the power supply does not power up right. The unit can either have no power, just a flashing power light, just a white screen or it could take a long time to show a picture. Here is a link to a repair guide that shows what to replace on the power supply board to repair the unit.

My TV has a white/gray screen when I turn it on. I get nothing else, no sound either.

Hello,

A white or gray screen usually means the power supply board is not functioning correctly. Below is a repair guide showing what to look for on your power supply board. Open the back of your TV and look at the power supply board as shown in the repair guide. If the capacitors are bulging on the top then they have failed and replacing them should get the board and TV back up and running. This is a very easy repair if you can do a little soldering.

PROB LEM WITH POLAROID TLA-01911C

Hello,

The white screen and nothing else usually indicates a failure of the filter capacitors in the power supply board. When these capacitors go out the voltages are not correct so the TV can not power up right. You can rebuild the power board by replacing the bad capacitors and this should bring the TV back to life. Here is a link to a repair guide for this power supply board.

Polaroid TLA-01911C TV - I seem to have the same

You probably have a bad inverter PCB. It is a skinny board by itself over on the left side of the back of the panel.

Polaroid 19" TV TLA-01911C has no picture. Powers up, see logo

I had the same problem. I replaced 14 capacitors on the Power supply board. I used Panasonic FC series. You could look for swollen capacitors or ones that are oozing. For sure replace these. My set had capacitors that are known to cause problems so I replaced all of them even though I saw no swelling of oozing. Be sure you label all connections carefully when you disassemble.

Cannot shut off polarid tla01911c flat screen tv

Press the power button on it. That usually helps. In case you're wondering it's the bottom button on the right-hand side (The TV's left.)
