I have replced the bulb once and the same problem exists. I went ahead and replaced the bulb again thinking I may have had a bad bulb out of the box and the problem still exists. I'm thinking a bad balast. What do you think? And if at all possible could you fax me directions on how to swap out a balast?
Can you hear the color wheel turn? It should start turning in 3-4 seconds. Most likely a BP96-00674A which is still on Factory BackOrder. You may find a shop with one in stock. Don't buy ballast. I've never changed ballast on this DLP and fixed over 200 of this model/chassis.
Go on the samsung website get the part number and then go on ebay and purchase the ballast. its half the price. pull out lamp assembly and right under it is the ballast. 2 or three screws hold it in. and there are 2 plugs that need to be undone. its very easy. hope this helps. i did it in about 15 min

My light doesn't turn on. When I plug in the tv I hear one click from the ballast and then one click from behind all the plugs. This happens three times and then all three lights come on the front, This is a 4663.It doesn't turn off with the remote.I changed the lamp. It still didn't come on. I'm not sure if the colorwheel is turning. How do you tell. If the color wheel dosen't spin will that prevent the lamp from starting?
