Hi,
This will only work if the drive with your new Windows installation is larger than the drive with your ghost image.
Assuming that the above is true, do the following:
Using disk management, create a partition on your hard drive which is large enough to accept your entire ghost backup. Restore your ghost image to this partition and then select any files or folders you may need. Once you have the necessary files you can delete the partition again if need be and use it for other storage purposes.
