I have the same TV and the same problem. Mine would play for a few hours then "pop" and power off. I had to turn main power off, let sit for awhile then it would play again. My local repair place came out and installed new power supply but that wasn't the problem. Had to take set to the shop where they found I had a bad amplifier board. It's on backorder with Pioneer.

The TV will not change TV channels, by the remote or on the side panel. Also i cannot bring up the menu when using the Ant input. Menu comes up when using the HDMI inputs.

Have you attempted to turn the set on so you have picture and sound in the tuner mode and then while it is on yank the plug out of the wall, let the tv sit unplugged for 10 minutes and then plug it back in and try again?
It is very important that the set be on and in that mode when you unplug it. If you have not tried this please do so and report back with the results.

Why my receiver wont turn on

Is it plugged in? Is there a fuse or resettable circuit breaker on the back?

If it was plugged in, unplug for a couple of minutes and re-plug in.

Pioneer Elite Pro 620 HD TV on several occasions the screen has gone black but sound continues and the power green libht remains on. After shutting down for 10-15 minutes picture comes back.

Pioneer Elite Pro rear projection 620HD - Picture is still there but brightness and "white" have faded over years allowing for mediocre viewing when room is dark only. During the daylight picture is visible if viewed straight on and within 15 feet from set. Any suggestions?

Just got a pioneer elite pro 119 from a buddy of

If you don't mind opening the thing, open it up and follow the power lead inside the TV. Somewhere along the line should be a fuse. I'd start there.

Pioneer elite pro 100

My set is doing the same thing again. The last time I fixed this (4 years ago) it was a capacitor gone bad in the power supply for the 24v standby circuit. (C166)
The service manuals can be ordered directly from Pioneer Part Number ARP3014 for Pro-100 model.

The intermittencies you mention are common on this
series. The PS - power supply - board needs a
virtually complete resolder op, as the solder used in
that run of units was weak and thin. It will not get
better on its own, any more than needed dental work
will.

Send it to me and I will resolder it and send it back.
I have done so on a number of PS boards in this series,
and am running at 100% success on saving the
510/610/710 series of Pioneer Elites when all they need
is the resoldering op. There is a procedure to follow,
so contact me directly.
