The best solution for your mobile is to do a master rest. It would restore your phone to default factory settings as you expected. To take control of your nokia phone once again, you will need to reset the phone (by hard reset). Note that the hard reset will delete all files and applications on the phone, but the good thing is that your phone will be mad new once again. Firstly, ensure that you back up your files, apps, etc on your memory card. Secondly, don't insert your main sim into the phone before you reset it. Thirdly, on the idle screen of your phone, dial; *#7370# This will request for a security code. Now type in: 12345, then ok/send. The phone will restart, and everything willl be new again. Please, note that you new security code will be: 12345 . However, you can decide to change it as you wish. Thanks. Hope this helped.

Try to turn off the power of your Nokia 6230i, then remove the battery. Then try to install it back again. Now, observe, turn on your phone. If still the same error, I suggest you bring your phone to a Nokia Care Center in your area.
