Soft, rubber like piece cover speaker on Samsung WEP170 Bluetooth

Soft, rubber like piece cover speaker on Samsung WEP170 Bluetooth, lost the cover , it still works but would love to be able to get a replacement .

  • Anonymous Jan 27, 2008

I lost the rubber cover thing to my WEP 170. It still works but is uncomfortable. I went to AT&T Wireless (where I originally bought the product) and they were no help at all. I actually got a full shoulder shrug and told "Hmmm have you checked Radio Shack?" So I did check Radio Shack and several other stores. I also went to the Samsung website listed in my owner's manual. Still no luck. Anyone have a suggestion?

I bought a pair of Sony headphones for my MP3 player, they came with three sets of rubber covers for the bud part of the head phone.
I have the WEP 170 also but didn't like how it fit in my ear, so I took one of the Sony bud cusions and replaced it with the one on the WEP, works great and even helps to cancel out noise.

Hope this helps

How to get my pass code back on my ipad

I assume you mean the code for the headset?
The default is "0000" when pairing.

---
1.
Ensure the headset is off (see Turning headset on/off section).
2. Press and hold Power until you see a solid blue light (approximately 8
seconds), then release* (see Fig. 3).
3. Set your Bluetooth phone to "discover" the headset by following your phone's
instruction guide. Typically, the steps involve going to a "setup", "connect", or
"Bluetooth" menu on your phone and then selecting the option to "discover" a
Bluetooth device.
4. Your phone will find the "Samsung WEP170" headset and ask if you want to pair with
it. Confirm this by pressing "yes" or "ok".
5. Enter passkey or PIN4 = 0000 (4 zeros), then press "yes" or "ok".

WEP170 headset

I found out that not all Samsung bluetooth phones are compatible with this WEP 170 Bluetooth handset. I called my carrier (AT & T) and they informed me that my mobile phone (also a Samsung SGH 700 series) might not work. I'd advise checking with your carrier to see if they can help clear up any problems.
