I've tried with different games and with the computer on and off. Please find a solution cause its driving me nuts, Cheers

You have to reconnect your controller to your xbox again by pressing the CONNECT BUTTON, the little button on the left front side of your controller between the trigger buttons.

Maybe sync the controllers again? Press the guide button (with the logo) on the controller. Then press the little round button on top of the controller next to the left bumber and the light around the guide button will start spinning. Press the same little button on the console next to the second memory slot and the consoles guide button will spin and the two will link up.

does yours require batteries? replace them

Today i bought "another" xbox

You need to press the "sync" button, both on the console and in the controller. In the controller, this button is located near the LB, its small and round, and in the console, its right in the side of the memory card B slot. Also round.

When you press it in the controller, the lights will blink, spinning, same with the console. Both will sync this way. Let me know if it helped!

Xbox 360 will not search for wireless controllers when search button is pressed

For pairing the Xbox 360 controller make sure you hit the pairing button on the wireless controller and Xbox 360 unit together, there's a little circular button under the memory card 2 slot, press it (while xbox is on)
now press the one on the controller (next to lb) and it should connect.

here's a diagram representation of pairing process for further help

Hope this helps, Please do take time to rate my solution

Wireless Controller not connecting to console.

Hey guys,

I've had the same problem today. The controller wouldn't connect no matter what. The strange thing was I could still turn the console on using the controller, but afterwards it wouldn't do anything.

Now I think I found a solution, at least for my case. All I did was to remove the HDD (that thing on top of the console) and put it back in. Then I started the console again using the controller and it was instantly connected.:)

Now I just hope it stays this way.;)
