Thunderbird When forwarding an e-mail, how can I delete all the tos and froms before sending

  • Anonymous Dec 19, 2009

If I use MS express this works but I am using Thunderbird.

If I click on the forword button the e-mail tittle appears the attach window, If I click on the attachment I just get a blank screen so I can't even attempt any editing.

The interesting thing is if I go ahead and send with the attachment the recipient can open it just fine. But unedited

All email clients have something as BCC, This is the blind carbon copy. Others do not know if this fellow is on the list or receivers (to). But if you want to send a blank email, then that is not possible as it becomes illegal and spamish. So, my advice would be to NOT think on the lines of sending emails without the 'from' and 'to' on it. A friendly advice, take it or lump it.

Hi

You would simply select the area of text and related and press on delete, optionally you could go and press backspace to delete content that you don't wish to send forward, the forms and such will dissapear as you delete the text and eventually them as well.

Deleting all mail at once on Lenovo yoga tab 3 10 inch

If you're using a web browser t get mail, you can probably only delete a page at a time by clicking the box at the top of the listing, then clicking the Delete option.

If you're using an email client like Thunderbird, Outlook or Outlook Express, you can press Ctrl/A to Select All, then pressing Delete should send all to the Trash. Pressing Shift/Delete should bypass the trash.

Delte all emails at once Is delete all

It depends on your mail program.

Outlook online (using your bowser) only allows you to select messages per page, so you can only delete a maximum of one page at a time.

Thunderbird (running on your pc) The whole inbox is available to be deleted in one go.
Using the command Control+a (select ALL), you can then delete all the mail in the inbox in one go, by hitting the delete key.

Most offline mail prrograms act like Thunderbird.
But the mail program needs to update the mail server on line, so this might take some time, to synchronise the offline inbox with the online inbox.

If mail send to your Gmail-Address disapper: - check your Spamfolder - Mail settings -> forwarding -> check if the mail gets forwarded - Mail settings -> filters -> check if there is a filter affecting it.
Gmail is not deleting any mail without your permission.

I use Thunderbird for my e-mail, & must have a problem with my settings. On some occasions when I try to forward an e-mail, there is nothing to send showing, even though the whole message was...

I have noticed the same thing. Occasionally, an email message will display normally in my Thunderbird inbox, but the body of the message will "disappear" when I try to forward it.

My Thunderbird program is set to send messages in plain text format, and that controls the way that messages are forwarded as well (even if they were originally composed in HTML). It works fine most of the time - but a small number of HTML messages "disappear" when forwarded. (I assume there's some problem with the original formatting of the message, or with the way that Thunderbird changes the HTML into plain text.)

I have found a work-around for the problem -- by changing the settings so that messages are sent (and forwarded) in HTML format. Here are the steps:
* In Thunderbird, go to: Tools > Account settings
* On the left side, scroll to the account in question, then select Composition & Addressing
* Then on the right side, place a check mark in Compose messages in HTML format .
* Click OK to close the account settings box.

After competing those steps, forwarded messages will retain their original HTML formatting, which should solve the "disappearing" problem.

And of course, you can change the account settings back and forth (between text and HTML composiition) whenever you like. So you could keep your account set to use plain text most of the time; and make the change only when you encounter a problematic HTML message.

My new laptop is not sending email because there are 400+ emails coming in mostly junk I am sure.

Hello,
Is anything preventing you from entering your mail box? If not, go to you mail box, use a Select All (CTRL A) and delete all the junk. Once you regain control of your mail box, configure your Email client (Outlook, Outlook express or other) to automatically send certain Emails to a junk mail box.

If your current Email client is limited in functionalities, you may find Mozilla Thunderbird more appropriate.

Hope it helps

Delete unwanted items

if the unwanted addresses are in the <to:,cc:,bc:> lines of the email you want to forward, hi-lite the address and hit delete. If you want to add addresses, just type them in and type a comma between each one. Once you have the email the way you want it hit forward (not send).
