Hi. I have a Panasonic SA-HT75 home theater. It stopped recognizing any types of discs - CD or DVD. Every time I insert a disc and try to play it the unit makes a strange sound and then the message says: NO DISC. Please, help to solve the problem. Thank you

The laser has failed. They all go this way. Throw it away and don't buy Panasonic next time.

The laser lens would have got repaired inside. Please change it.IT will read the dvds. It cost about 25$ i suppose

Try cleaning the pickup with a cleaner disc-i'm assuming this unit IS supposed to play DVDs, of couse!

Laser/traverse deck needs replacement.Spindle motor fails to spin.If loaded disk will not turn give it a slight push to get it started.If it runs the motor is bad and the traverse deck needs replacement.Not an easy fix.You need to know specific procedures and alignments.
