White screen My i-mate just displays a white screen. Nothing else appears. What do think the problem could be, I have charged the battery but I do not know if it is accepting charge because I cannot get up any sort of display.

    Same problem... nothing appears on the screen...just white out....did a hard reset, it plays sound as if the reset was complete...cant be sure as there is nothing on the display....anyone there to help. this unit is more that a year old not under warranty.

    i just has the same problem my i mate open for a will then it turn sometimes white and sometimes blue ,and when restart it it hardly open,or it get mewhite or blue screen

    have similar problem, after hard resetit shows serial on top of screen and v 1.0 at the bottom of the screen,if i connect to pc serial changes to USB at the top, can someone help?

First of all remove battry and reinsert it but don't push the ON switch.Press imate keyboard top second left and second right (near by call keys) buttons together, holding down with push the soft reset button,these all three buttons should be pressed firmly.after this a message will appear on the screen then press 0.this will hard reset ur device and restore the factory settings.

I have same problem... the screen stays white blank... I tried this procedure,,, nothing shows on the screen??? there is no apparent sign of breaking of anything. And I don't recall dropping the unit...

  1. Check the phone or tablet, charger, and USB cable. Verify the phone, tablet, charger, and USB cable have no physical or liquid damage.
    Check the USB connections for corrosion and bent pins. Inspect the Liquid Damage Indicator (LDI). The LDI should be solid white, or white with pink or purple X's. The USB connection should be firm with very little mobility.

Display shows a white screen
  1. Turn iPhone off and turn it on again.
  2. If the iPhone will not turn off, try to reset it. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until either the Apple log or battery symbol appears. If the battery symbol appears, continue to charge iPhone until it is fully charged.

No display/ white display
I think this is an outcome for an out-dated Firmware. Try updating the phone's Firmware by using the PC Suite of the phone. If you find that the Phone of yours do not have a PC Suite, Take it to Service Center and tell them to get the Firmware upgraded but first do one thing your self. Get all the phone apart, not the whole but only the attachable parts of the phone ( such as battery, Sim, etc ). This will hard reset it. If it doesn't work, try taking to service center. They will resolve it completely.

hi

first try to connect to a pc using the usb and check if u can get connected and browseif this works then there is a problem with the display else the OS of the phone is lost

beware that all your data will be lost on the phone if the following procedure is followed

hold the green button '3' button and the '*' button simultaniously and then power on the device hold the keys till 'FORMATTING' is displayed on the screen

I recently replace my lcd and initially had that problem.  I fixed it by reseating the cable that connects the motherboard to the main phone piece.  (its the cable that is about 1/2 an inch wide and is very short, barely wraps around motherboard).  Reseat that and your white screen issue should be fixed)
